Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR5AK3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR5AK3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where OR5AK3P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR5AK3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and LIHC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUSC, LIHC, and KIRC are the cancer types where OR5AK3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
