Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR52B5P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR52B5P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where OR52B5P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR52B5P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as UCEC and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
UCEC, BRCA, and BLCA are the cancer types where OR52B5P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
