Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR51G2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR51G2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where OR51G2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR51G2 is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD are the cancer types where OR51G2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
