Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR51C4P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR51C4P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where OR51C4P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR51C4P is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD are the cancer types where OR51C4P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
