Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR51A5P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR51A5P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where OR51A5P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR51A5P is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD and KICH are the cancer types where OR51A5P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
