Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR51A3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR51A3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in prostate adenocarcinoma (PRAD), where OR51A3P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR51A3P is over-expressed in tumor.
PRAD are the cancer types where OR51A3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
