Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4S1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR4S1 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher OR4S1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR4S1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA show a favorable association.

STAD, SKCM, and DLBC are the cancer types where OR4S1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
