Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4K8P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR4K8P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR4K8P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR4K8P is over-expressed in tumor.
BRCA are the cancer types where OR4K8P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
