Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4D9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR4D9 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher OR4D9 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR4D9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ESCA show a favorable association.

LIHC, BRCA, and LAML are the cancer types where OR4D9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
