Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4D2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR4D2 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher OR4D2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR4D2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and ESCA show a favorable association.
PAAD, READ, and KIRC are the cancer types where OR4D2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
