Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR4A1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR4A1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR4A1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR4A1P is over-expressed in tumor.
BRCA are the cancer types where OR4A1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
