Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR3D1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR3D1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where OR3D1P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR3D1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, KIRC, and PRAD are the cancer types where OR3D1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
