Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2X1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2X1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR2X1P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2X1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA are the cancer types where OR2X1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
