Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2T6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2T6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR2T6 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2T6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, KIRP, and PRAD are the cancer types where OR2T6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
