Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2G2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR2G2 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher OR2G2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR2G2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and HNSC show a favorable association.

SKCM, COAD, and STAD are the cancer types where OR2G2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
