Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2G1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2G1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR2G1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2G1P is over-expressed in tumor.
