OR2D2

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2D2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2D2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where OR2D2 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2D2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PAAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

PAAD, BLCA, and COAD are the cancer types where OR2D2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
