Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2AT2P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2AT2P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR2AT2P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2AT2P is over-expressed in tumor.
