Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR2AD1P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR2AD1P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where OR2AD1P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR2AD1P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA and BRCA are the cancer types where OR2AD1P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
