Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR1L3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated OR1L3 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher OR1L3 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OR1L3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and UCEC show a favorable association.

THCA, ESCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where OR1L3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
