Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR11A1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR11A1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where OR11A1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR11A1 is over-expressed in tumor.

KIRC, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where OR11A1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
