Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR10D5P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR10D5P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where OR10D5P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR10D5P is over-expressed in tumor.
BRCA are the cancer types where OR10D5P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
