Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OR10D4P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of OR10D4P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where OR10D4P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types OR10D4P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as COAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD and LUSC are the cancer types where OR10D4P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
