Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OPTN mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OPTN data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher OPTN mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OPTN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and LUAD show a favorable association.

COAD, LSCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where OPTN mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
