Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OPN1MW Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OPN1MW data layer compared with 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher OPN1MW Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OPN1MW expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

SKCM and LUSC are the cancer types where OPN1MW Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
