Across TCGA patient cohorts, OPA1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 17,354 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible OPA1-associated genes across cancer lineages are NDUFB5, GFM1, and NCBP2AS2. Each is linked with OPA1 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both OPA1-to-partner and partner-to-OPA1 results are reported.
