Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, OMD Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated OMD data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher OMD Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated OMD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
PAAD, LIHC, and LUSC are the cancer types where OMD Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
