Across TCGA patient cohorts, NSMF mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 939 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NSMF-associated genes across cancer lineages are RNA5SP198, MTATP6P21, and RN7SKP298. Each is linked with NSMF in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NSMF-to-partner and partner-to-NSMF results are reported.
