Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NSMCE3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NSMCE3 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NSMCE3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NSMCE3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

HNSC, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where NSMCE3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
