Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NSMAF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NSMAF data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher NSMAF Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NSMAF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BLCA show a favorable association.
BRCA, UCEC, and SARC are the cancer types where NSMAF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
