Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NSA2P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NSA2P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where NSA2P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NSA2P2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, CHOL, and BRCA are the cancer types where NSA2P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
