Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NREP RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NREP data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher NREP RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NREP expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LAML show a favorable association.

KIRC, MESO, and LIHC are the cancer types where NREP RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
