Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPVF mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NPVF data layer compared with 11 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher NPVF mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPVF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
LUAD, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where NPVF mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
