Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPM3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NPM3 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NPM3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPM3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and GBM show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and GBM are the cancer types where NPM3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
