Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPM1P49 RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NPM1P49 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher NPM1P49 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPM1P49 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and READ show a favorable association.
SKCM, GBM, and READ are the cancer types where NPM1P49 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
