Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPM1P10 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of NPM1P10’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where NPM1P10 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types NPM1P10 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, LUSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where NPM1P10 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
