Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPEPPS Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NPEPPS data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher NPEPPS Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPEPPS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRP, LUAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where NPEPPS Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
