Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPC1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NPC1 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher NPC1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPC1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where NPC1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
