Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NPB RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NPB data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher NPB RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NPB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UVM show a favorable association.
KICH, ACC, and LUAD are the cancer types where NPB RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
