Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NOP53 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NOP53 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NOP53 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NOP53 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where NOP53 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
