Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NMU Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NMU data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher NMU Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NMU expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
COAD are the cancer types where NMU Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
