Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NMT1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NMT1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NMT1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NMT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where NMT1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
