Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NMI Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NMI data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher NMI Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NMI expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where NMI Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
