Across TCGA patient cohorts, NMI mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 26 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NMI-associated genes across cancer lineages are eIF4E, JNK2, and Ku80. Each is linked with NMI in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NMI-to-partner and partner-to-NMI results are reported.
