Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NLN RNA is linked to patient survival in 30 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NLN data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher NLN RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NLN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and READ show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and ACC are the cancer types where NLN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
