Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NLGN4X RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NLGN4X data layer compared with 11 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher NLGN4X RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NLGN4X expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and SKCM are the cancer types where NLGN4X RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
