Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKX3-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated NKX3-2 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher NKX3-2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKX3-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LAML show a favorable association.
KIRP, UVM, and ACC are the cancer types where NKX3-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
