Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NKX2-2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NKX2-2 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher NKX2-2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NKX2-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

HNSC, LUAD, and ESCA are the cancer types where NKX2-2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
