Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, NIT1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated NIT1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher NIT1 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated NIT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA, LUSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where NIT1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
