Across TCGA patient cohorts, NIPBL protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 16,246 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible NIPBL-associated genes across cancer lineages are PPIH, CEP72, and DROSHA. Each is linked with NIPBL in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both NIPBL-to-partner and partner-to-NIPBL results are reported.
